Frequently asked
Where is my data kept?
Only on your phone. Aquabara has no accounts, and nothing you enter is sent to us. Details are in the privacy policy.
Will my records come with me to a new phone?
If you set up your new phone from your old phone's backup (iCloud Backup, a computer backup or Google backup), Aquabara comes along with your drinks, goal and streak. Without a backup, deleting the app deletes the data too; we can't bring it back because we don't have a copy.
How do I change my daily goal?
Open Settings from the gear on the home screen. You can change the daily goal with − and +, or answer the questions again with "Recalculate goal". The new goal starts today; your past days and streak don't change.
Reminders don't arrive.
Check that notifications are on in your phone's Settings → Notifications → Aquabara, and that Settings → "Mochi reminds me" is on in Aquabara. Reminders are smart: each drink pushes the next one back, Mochi stays quiet on days you reach your goal, and there are no reminders outside your wake and bed times. A Focus mode may also be silencing them.
How do I add the widget and the Dynamic Island?
Both come with Aquabara Plus. For the widget, touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget and pick Aquabara; for the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen and tap Customize. In the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, Mochi appears when you add the day's first drink with the app open; turn it on or off with Settings → "Mochi by your side all day".
How do I turn Plus on on my new phone?
On a phone signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you bought with, open the Plus screen and tap "Restore purchases".
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Aquabara. On Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. When you cancel, Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Nothing is written to Apple Health.
Check that Settings → "Write to Health" is on in Aquabara. If it is, allow writing water and caffeine in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Aquabara.
Does Aquabara give medical advice?
No. The daily goal is a general estimate and doesn't replace medical advice; Aquabara is not a medical device. If you have a health condition or your doctor has limited how much you drink, ask your doctor how much to drink.
